What it does
The Memory skill lets sideBar build up a persistent picture of you over time. As you chat, sideBar creates and updates memories automatically — things you have told it, preferences it has noticed, context that is worth carrying forward. These memories are included in every future conversation, so sideBar gets more useful the more you use it without you having to repeat yourself. You can also manage memories directly: ask sideBar to remember something specific, forget something, or update something it has wrong.Actions
| Action | Description |
|---|---|
| Create memory | Saves a new piece of information to remember about you |
| Read memory | Reads the contents of a specific memory |
| Update memory | Edits or corrects an existing memory |
| Delete memory | Permanently removes a memory |
| Organise memories | Groups related memories into topics for better retrieval |
When sideBar uses it
Continuously, in the background. sideBar decides when something is worth remembering and manages that itself. You can also trigger it explicitly:- Telling sideBar something to remember (“Remember that I prefer bullet points over prose”)
- Correcting something it has wrong (“That’s not right — update your memory of my job title”)
- Removing something (“Forget what you know about my old address”)
- Reviewing what it knows (“What do you remember about me?”)
Requirements
- Tier: Standard (included, no installation needed)
